Chad Ochocinco Released From Team Arrested For Domestic Violence Charges
Chad changed his name from Chad ohnson to Chad Ochocinco to match the number 85 on his jersey. His wife Evelyn requested that he change his name back to Johnson once they were married. It seems that he may be changing careers as he was released Miami Dolphins, his locker cleaned out moments after he was released from Florida’s jail.
That same day, the Miami Dolphins posted a notification on their website saying “The Miami Dolphins terminated the contract of WR Chad Johnson, the team announced today.”
Johnson married Evelyn in front of viewers on a reality show. Evelyn stated Chad head butted her and caused a three inch laceration on her forehead. Chad allegedes the head butt was an accident. Evelyn told poilce the incident started after she confronted Chad about finding a receipt for condoms in the trunk of their car. After the head butt Evelyn fled to a neighbor’s home where she called 911.
Many believe that Ochocinco was with Evelyn to remain in the reality show spotlight, after having his shows dating show “The Ultimate Catch” and “Hard Knocks”. The couple has finished filming the reality show named ” Ev& Ocho” which was set to premiere Sept 3. The production of the show is complete but given the circumstances it is unclear if the show will air.
Johnson was able to steer clear from trouble while in the league. His last run in with the law was a past arrested for a domestic dispute in college.
If convicted ohnson could face one year in and and $1000 fine.
